COLBY WINS TEAM TITLE, MARSHFIELD SECOND AT MARSHFIELD INDOOR GIRLS TRACK INVITE

MARSHFIELD - Colby won three of the four relay races to finish first in the team standings at the Marshfield Girls Track Indoor Invitational on Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Colby finished with 89 points, with Marshfield second with 79 and Stratford third with 58. Mosinee finished fourth with 46 points, Stevens Point took sixth with 37, Pittsville and Abbotsford tied for seventh with 34, and Athens was 15th in 12.5.
Colby’s 4x160 relay team of Hayden Willner, Jazmyn Heeg, Alexis Vanderhoof and Veronica Mateer won in 1:29.42; the 4x440 relay team of Daisy Feiten, Willow Oehmichen, Trinity Severson and Willner won in 4:42.20; and 4x880 team of Feiten, Severson, and Oehmichen and MaKenna Herrmann was victorious in 11:08.49.
Marshfield won four events with Aubri Brown taking first in the shot put (36-3½), Sophie Nikolay winning the pole vault (10-0), Lizzie Hanson winning the 60-yard hurdles (9.42) and the 4x320 relay team of Ellie Jensen, Dani Minsaas, Michaela Dick and Emily Brun taking first in 3:13.20.
Jaidyn Wright won the triple jump with a leap of 31-5 and Kayla Casperson took first in the mile run in 5:59.48 for Stratford.
Reese Rogowski of Wittenberg-Birnamwood won four events – the long jump with a leap of 16-6¼, the 60-yard dash in 7.17 seconds, the 440 in 1:04.87 and the 220 in 27.85 seconds.
Stevens Point’s Lina Farkas won the high jump with a leap of 5-2, and Pittsville’s Reece Grimm won the 880 in 2:46.11.
