ASSUMPTION GIRLS SOCCER EARNS TWO SHUTOUT WINS AT NEENAH ST. MARY'S TRIANGULAR

NEENAH – The Wisconsin Rapids Assumption girls soccer team picked up a pair of shutout wins at the Neenah St. Mary Catholic Triangular on Saturday to improve to 5-0 this season.


The Royals defeated Neenah St. Mary 4-0 and Wrightstown 5-0 to keep their undefeated season intact.


Assumption held St. Mary Catholic without a shot on goal in the opener. Addi Vollert had a hat trick and Clara Kubis added another goal in the win for the Royals. Sarah Shaw and Molly Steinke had assists for Assumption.


Kubis scored twice in the victory over Wrightstown, with Shaw, Vollert and Izzy Jungwirth adding goals. Kayla Kerkman and Kendall Duellman each had assists for the Royals. All five goals came in the first 27 minutes of the game.


Morgan Reichl made five saves in goal for Assumption in the win over Wrighstown.


Assumption hosts Eau Claire Regis/Chippewa Falls McDonell on Tuesday in a Mid-Western Wisconsin Conference match at Washington Field beginning at 6 p.m.
