WOLF TOSSES NO-HITTER AS EDGAR BASEBALL SHUTS OUT RIB LAKE IN DIVISION 4 REGIONAL FINAL

EDGAR – Konnor Wolf tossed a six-inning no-hitter and Ashton Schuett drove in three runs as the Edgar baseball team blanked Rib Lake 10-0 to capture a WIAA Division 4 regional championship on Wednesday at Edgar High School.
The Wildcats (17-3), who won their first-ever regional title in baseball, move on to a D-4 sectional at Athens on Tuesday. Edgar will play Three Lake/Phelps (15-4) at 10 a.m. Greenwood (15-6) will take on St. Thomas Aquinas/Lena (11-6) in the other semifinal at 1 p.m. and the winners will clash for a sectional championship and a state tournament berth at 4 p.m.
Drew Guden had two hits and scored three times, Austin Dahlke had two singles and two RBIs, and Schuett finished with a single and a double for Edgar.
Wolf struck out 10 and walked two in the complete-game no-hit effort.
