STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point Pacelli rallied with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a 6-5 win over Mosinee in a nonconference softball game Wednesday at Woyak Park.

Mosinee led 5-4 after a four-run sixth inning, keyed by RBI doubles from Amber Gonzalez and Adeline Strejc, and a two-run double by Maria Valls Raya.

Pacelli would leave two runners on base in the sixth, but weren’t about to allow that to happen again in the seventh.

Ava Tess led off with a single and Hannah Trzinski reached on a grounder as Tess beat a throw to second base.

Yenter followed with a walk to load the bases before Jayden Hytry smacked a single to score Trzinski to tie the game. Katy Ilkka was hit by a pitch to force in Trzinski with the winning run.

Tess, Sydney Gavin and Hytry all had two hits in the win for the Cardinals.

Both teams are now 16-5.
