GREENWOOD – Neillsville allowed just four made field goals and made quick work of Greenwood, rolling to a 70-15 win in Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball action Tuesday at Greenwood High School.
Neillsville cruised out to a 47-4 lead by halftime with a dominating effort on both ends of the floor and remain perfect this season at 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Cloverbelt East.
Paris Opelt scored 12 points, and Emma Moseley and Amelia Trunkel each chipped in 10 for the Warriors, who had 11 players score in the win.
Greenwood (0-5, 0-3 Cloverbelt East) will look for its first win of the season Friday at Spencer. Neillsville returns to action Saturday at home against Alma-Center Lincoln as part of a girls-boys doubleheader that starts at 5:45 p.m. Both Neillsville games will be live at zaleskisports.com.
