MOSINEE BOYS HOCKEY SHUTS OUT TOMAH/SPARTA

MOSINEE – Carter Daul and Caden Schmirler each scored twice as the Mosinee boys hockey team blasted Tomah/Sparta 8-0 in a nonconference game Saturday at the Mosinee Rec Center.
Schmirler scored both of his goals in the first period, and A.J. Buenning and Daul added two more as the Indians built a quick 4-0 lead.
Daul added a goal in the second period, and Ondrej Napravnik, Gavin Obremski and Daniel Gildain all scored in the third for Mosinee, which is now 5-3 this season.
Aiden Karst had 13 saves in goal to earn the shutout victory for the Indians.
Mosinee will be back in action Tuesday at home against DeForest.
