MARSHFIELD CHAPARRALS TO OPEN SEASON JUNE 14TH
SPORTSDESK - The Marshfield Chaparrals Amateur Baseball Team will begin their 2020 season on June 14th. The season was originally scheduled to begin on May 17th and was delayed due to Wisconsin Governor, Tony Evers, statewide shutdown on March 25th. The Marshfield City Council, by a vote of 6-4, reopened the Chaparrals home field of Jack Hackman Field as of June 1st to help clear the way for the season to begin.
The Chaparrals have an open tryout scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd at 6pm. The tryouts will be held at Jack Hackman field. Contact the Marshfield Chaparrals Facebook page if you are interested in playing but cannot make the schedule tryout time.
The Chaparrals will conduct a 13 game Dairyland League season. The league will feature a single-elimination tournament after the conclusion of the league season to determine state tournament entries.
The Chaparrals encourage social distancing while in attendance at Jack Hackman Field. Lawn chairs are allowed if you prefer having your own seat while enjoying the game.
More information about the Chaparrals 2020 schedule will be posted here when it is released.
