HUDSON SHUTS OUT WISCONSIN RAPIDS IN WIAA DIVISION 1 BOYS HOCKEY REGIONAL FINAL

HUDSON – Hudson held Wisconsin Rapids to just seven shot attempts and earned a 9-0 shutout in a WIAA Division 1 boys hockey regional final Thursday at the Hudson Sports & Civic Center.
Hudson (21-3) scored once in the first period and busted it open with a five-goal season period on its way to the victory.
Gannon Blaiser, Alex Pottratz and Max Gilblin each had two goals for Hudson, which will host Stevens Point in a Division 1 sectional semifinal on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
Milo Spurlin made 53 saves in goal for Wisconsin Rapids (19-7), which was outshot 62-7 in the loss.
