FORMER MARSHFIELD SENIOR HIGH WRESTLER EARNS ALL-AMERICAN STATUS AT US OPEN

CORALVILLE, IA - Former Marshfield Senior High School wrestler, Sam Mitchell, finished sixth at the US Open Senior Nationals wrestling tournament in Coralville, IA. Mitchell, who competed in the freestyle bracket, earned All-American status with the sixth place finish. A fifth place finish would have qualified Mitchell for the US Wrestling Olympic Trials.

Mitchell won a state high school wresting title in 2019 at 195 pounds in his senior year at Marshfield. Mitchell currently wrestles collegiately while attending school at the University at Buffalo (NY).
