BREWSTER TOSSES COMPLETE-GAME SHUTOUT, SMACKS HOMER IN EDGAR BASEBALL WIN OVER MARATHON

EDGAR – Kyle Brewster threw a four-hit shutout and hit a home run to push Edgar to a 9-0 win over Marathon in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Thursday at Edgar High School.
Brewster struck out three and walked three in a complete-game effort on the mound, and added a single, a double, a home run and two RBIs at the plate for the Wildcats (4-0, 2-0 Marawood South).
Jordan Bunkelman also had a single, a double and a home run, scored three times and added two RBIs for Edgar. Kaden Goodwin also had three hits and drove in a run in the victory.
Brock Warren had two hits for Marathon, which falls to 4-2 and 0-2 in the Marawood South.
Edgar plays at Phillips on Friday.
