TRI-COUNTY TOPS PITTSVILLE VOLLEYBALL

PITTSVILLE – The Pittsville volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Tri-County in a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division match on Tuesday at Pittsville High School.


Tri-County, playing its conference opener, won 25-13, 20-25, 25-16, 25-17. Pittsville is now 1-1 in CWC South action.


Madisyn Schooley had nine kills and three blocks, Angel Millard had 15 assists, Brooke Grossman added 11 assists, and Kaylee Jacobson had a team-high 12 digs for Pittsville.


Sara Lacoursiere added seven kills and nine digs, Reese Grimm had four service aces and nine digs, and Haylee Zawislan also had four aces for the Panthers.


“We were up and down all night, inconsistent play hurt us,” Pittsville coach Buff Heller said. “Their serves really kept us out of synch. We will keep working on the small things and get better every week.”


Pittsville hosts Greenwood on Thursday in a nonconference match.
