ONALASKA – The Stevens Point baseball team finished off its regular season with a sweep of Onalaska in a nonconference doubleheader Saturday.

The Panthers won 5-3 and 11-1 to wrap up their regular season with a 17-5 record.

Stevens Point scored twice in the first inning and three in the second to take command of Game 1 early.

Bryce Ehr pitched four innings, striking out five, to earn the win. Bryce Pelky, Kaden Thauer and Kenny Schultz each tossed an inning to finish off the victory for SPASH. Evan Tuskowski had two of Point’s four hits.

SPASH pounded out 11 hits in Game 2, two each by Tommy Drohner, Jake Sankey and Ben Raczek. Raczek also knocked in three runs.

Isaiah Christianson threw four shutout innings in relief to pick up the win. He allowed just one hit and struck out five.

“All of our pitchers did a nice job today,” Stevens Point coach Kraig Terpstra said. “It was nice to see our bats come alive in the second game. Great job by our players today. Two solid wins against a good Onalaska team who won their conference.”

Stevens Point will host a WIAA Division 1 regional final against the winner of Wisconsin Rapids and Chippewa Falls on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Bukolt Park.
