PLAINFIELD – The Rosholt girls basketball team wrapped up its Central Wisconsin Conference South Division schedule with a 49-20 win over Tri-County on Thursday at Tri-County High School.


Rosholt held Tri-County to three made baskets in the first half to roll out to a 23-6 lead by intermission.


The Hornets finished off the victory to improve to 7-16, and ends up 4-8 in the Central Wisconsin Conference South Division.


Sarah Trzinski had nine points, and Sydney Trzebiatowski, Sophia Bablitch and Lexi Lemanczyk all had eight each in a balanced scoring attack for Rosholt.


Rosholt hosts Wausau Newman Catholic for a nonconference game Friday before opening postseason play with a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal at Spencer on Tuesday.
