MOSINEE BASEBALL HOLDS OFF KETTLE MORAINE FOR FIFTH WIN IN A ROW

WALES – The Mosinee baseball team won its fifth-straight game as it held off Kettle Moraine 6-5 on Friday at Kettle Moraine High School.


The Indians plated five runs in the second inning and held off a late charge from Kettle Moraine to improve to 13-2 this season.


Garrett Shupe earned the win, striking out five in 4 2/3 innings, and Taylor Lemanski pitched the final 2 1/3 innings to grab the save for Mosinee.


Keagen Jirschele and Drake Grod each had two hits, and Gavin Obremski drove in two for Mosinee.


Mosinee plays a nonconference doubleheader at Pewaukee on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
