MEDFORD HANDS MOSINEE BOYS BASKETBALL ITS FIRST CONFERENCE LOSS

MEDFORD – Medford forced 16 turnovers and turned 12 offensive rebounds into points as it defeated Mosinee 66-55 in a Great Northern Conference boys basketball game Friday night at Medford High School.
Mosinee, which has already clinched the GNC championship, suffered its first loss in conference play and falls to 21-2 overall and 10-1 in conference. Medford improves to 16-6 and ends its conference season at 9-3.
Medford led 32-21 at halftime before Mosinee got as close as five in the second half, but couldn’t get any closer.
Davin Stoffel had 15 points and Drake Grod chipped in 10 for Mosinee.
Tanner Hraby had 20 points and Logan Baumgartner scored 17 in the win for the Raiders.
Medford plays nonconference games at D.C. Everest on Tuesday and at home against Hurley on Thursday to finish its regular-season schedule.
Mosinee will be at home against Lakeland on Thursday in its final conference and regular-season contest. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
