MARSHFIELD VOLLEYBALL OPENS CONFERENCE SEASON WITH WIN AT WISCONSIN RAPIDS

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield volleyball team opened its Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a 3-0 sweep of Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at Lincoln High School.

Marshfield won 25-13, 25-22, 25-19.

Casey Frankland had nine kills, Kaydee Johnson had eight kills and 12 digs, Katie Sadwoska had a team-high 19 digs, and setters Bailey Matis and Taylor Barwick had 12 and 10 assists, respectively, for the Tigers.

Marshfield will host its annual Marshfield Tiger Invitational on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Teams competing with the Tigers will be Abbotsford, Antigo, Ashwaubenon, Oshkosh North, and Superior.
