MARSHFIELD VOLLEYBALL EARNS HOME WIN OVER WAUSAU WEST

MARSHFIELD – Casey Frankland had 11 kills and eight digs to lead the Marshfield volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep of Wausau West in a Wisconsin Valley Conference match Thursday at Marshfield High School.
The Tigers won 25-20, 25-22, 25-20. Both teams are now 1-1 in conference play.
Abby Ongna also had 11 kills, Reinya Balderson had 32 assists, and Elise Uphoff had a team-high 10 digs and three service aces for Marshfield (16-5 overall). Caitlyn Pernsteiner chipped in eight kills, three aces and five blocks for the Tigers.
Marshfield will be off for a week before playing at Wisconsin Rapids in WVC action next Thursday, Sept. 16.
