SCHOFIELD – The Marshfield girls track team had six second-place finishes and finished second in the team standings at the Wisconsin Valley Conference True Team Meet on Tuesday at Stiehm Stadium.

The True Team event scores every competitor in each event, with the winner earning 21 points, second place 20, and so on.

D.C. Everest won the team title with 664 points, with Marshfield second with 628.5. Wausau West was a distant third with 576.

Second-place finishers for Marshfield were: Michaela Dick in the 600 meters (1:44.29), Calleigh Kanitz in the 1,000 meters (3:18.47), Eliana Kanitz in the 3,000 meters (11:40.30), Lizzie Hanson in the 100 (17.22), the 400 relay team of Ariana Smith, Lexi Daul, Sophie Nikolay and Tayllor Thompson (53.77), the 1,600 relay team of Calleigh Kanitz, Leah Brown, Dehlia Kilty and Dick (4:21.75), the 3,200 relay team of Bailey Bauer, Eliana Kanitz, Kairi Kim and Jerica Mueller (10:37.99), and Nikolay in the pole vault (10-0).

Marshfield will host the Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet on June 8.
