DELAWARE COUNTY FOOTBALL PREVIEW - AUGUST 30, 2019
YORKTOWN AT MUNCIE CENTRAL
TIME: 7 p.m. Friday
LOCATION: Central High School
RECORDS: Yorktown 1-0 (Class 3A honorable mention), Central 0-1
LAST MEETING: Yorktown won 26-20, 2018
LAST 5 MEETINGS: Yorktown leads 4-1
COACHES: Mike Wilhelm (77-77, 15th season); Darrick Lee (0-1 first year), Central
WHY TO WATCH: The Tigers have dominated in the series results since the schools began playing again in 2014, but each of the past four games were decided by just a touchdown. Yorktown has a strong offense, led by quarterback Reid Neal, who passed for 233 yards and ran for 122 yards in a win last week against Anderson. Austin Hill caught seven passes for 93 yards. Central is looking to build something on offense after being shut out last Friday at Delta. Starting quarterback Daire’el Hall left that game with a sprained ankle and his status for this week is uncertain. Max Pittman is the likely starter if Hall can’t play.
