COLBY BOYS BASKETBALL SLIPS PAST LOYAL

LOYAL – Richard Streveler and Tevin Rue combined for seven 3-pointers and 44 points to lead the Colby boys basketball team to a 69-66 win over Loyal in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Tuesday at Loyal High School.


Streveler finished with four three 3-pointers and 25 points, and Rue had four 3s and 19 points for the Hornets, who improve to 12-4 overall and 9-2 in the Cloverbelt East.


Mateo Lopez was 6-for-7 at the free throw line and added 11 points for Colby.


Statistics for Loyal (7-9, 5-5 Cloverbelt East) were not provided.


Both teams return to action Friday with conference games. Loyal will host first-place Neillsville and Colby will travel to Greenwood. The Colby game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
