BRUISING RUNNING GAME PUSHES WISCONSIN RAPIDS FOOTBALL TO BLOWOUT WIN AT HOME

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Leo Brostowitz and the Wisconsin Rapids running game was in dominant form on Friday night as the Raiders thrashed Hortonville 39-0 in a Valley Football Association game at Wood Trust Bank Field.
Brostowitz ran for 293 yards on 20 carries and scored three times, and Teal Lucas added 82 yards and two more scores as Wisconsin Rapids rolled to the road win.
Wisconsin Rapids is now 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the Valley Football Association (3-3, 3-1 counting a forfeit win over Wausau East), while Hortonville drops to 2-4 and 0-4 in conference play.
The Raiders piled up 445 yards rushing in all and held Hortonville to just 67 total yards and five first downs, while forcing four turnovers.
Wisconsin Rapids plays at D.C. Everest on Oct. 1.
