ASSUMPTION GIRLS BASKETBALL OUTLASTS EDGAR

EDGAR – The Wisconsin Rapids Assumption girls basketball team held Edgar to 12 first-half points and defeated the Wildcats 45-29 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Edgar High School.
Assumption pulled out to a commanding 28-12 lead by intermission and played even with Edgar the rest of the way to win by 16.
Kendall Duellman had 12 points, Ainara Sainz de Rozas added 11 points, and Maleia Kolo had eight points and 10 rebounds to lead the way for the Royals, who are now 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Marawood South.
Edgar falls to 4-2 and 2-2 in conference play. Statistics for the Wildcats were not reported.
Assumption plays a Marawood crossover game at Chequamegon on Friday, while Edgar is off until Monday when it has a Marawood crossover game at Prentice.
