AMHERST – No. 1 seed Amherst blanked No. 4 Wittenberg-Birnamwood 6-0 in a WIAA Division 3 baseball regional semifinal on Tuesday.
Tyler Soulsby threw six shutout innings for the Falcons, striking out four and walking two, to earn the victory.
Jake Hoffman and Landon Moe each went 2-for-4, with Moe driving in two runs for Amherst.
The Falcons (18-5) move on to a D-3 regional final where they will host No. 2 seed Neenah St. Mary Catholic (14-6) on Wednesday.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood finishes its season at 10-9.
