ABBOTSFORD/COLBY BASEBALL SHUTS OUT PRENTICE TO GRAB SHARE OF MARAWOOD NORTH TITLE

ABBOTSFORD – Christian Ploeckelman and Cade Faber combined on a five-inning four-hit shutout as the Abbotsford/Colby baseball team earned a share of the Marawood Conference North Division title with a 14-0 win over Prentice on Tuesday at Red Arrow Park.
The Falcons scored four times in the each of the first two innings and added five more in the third to win going away.
Ross Elmhorst, Brandon Diedrich and Cade Faber each had two hits for the Falcons, who finish the regular season 16-9 overall and 8-2 in the Marawood North, tying Athens and Rib Lake for first place.
Abbotsford/Colby will play a WIAA Division 2 regional quarterfinal at Mosinee on Thursday.
