WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wausau West won three singles matches and a doubles match by forfeit to defeat Wisconsin Rapids 4-3 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys tennis match Monday at Lincoln High School.

Wisconsin Rapids picked up wins at No. 4 singles from Ryan Pidgeon, and the No. 1 doubles team of Joey Bohman and Eric Huglen, and the No. 2 team of James Baldwin and Carter Swen, all in straight sets.

Wisconsin Rapids returns to action Thursday at Stevens Point.

Doubles: 1. Joey Bohman-Eric Huglen (WR) def. Ethan Steinback-A.J. Lipowski, 6-0, 6-2; 2. Carter Swen-James Baldwin (WR) def. Evan Steinback-Jack Burger, 6-2, 7-5; 3. Micah Boismenue-Eli Hackett (WW) won by forfeit.
