PANTHERS FELL EVERGREENS FOR FIRST WIN OF SEASON

SPORTSDESK - The SPASH Panthers girls basketball team recorded its first win of the season at home over the DC Everest Evergreens, 49-35. The win moves SPASH's record to 1-2 overall and Everest drops to 2-3 on the year.


SPASH picked up a team high 14 points from Zoe Fink on the night.

Fink was joined in the tens column in scoring by Emma Jossie.


For Everest, Kiara Hammond was the sole double-digit scorer with a game high 18.


SPASH head coach, Kraig Terpstra, “I was pleased with our play defensively and we cut down on turnovers offensively. We Improved tonight. I feel this team can get better each time we take the floor.”


Next time out for SPASH is Tuesday at home against Marathon. Everest takes on first place Wisconsin Rapids on the road, December 15th.
