PACELLI GIRLS BASKETBALL SURGES PAST ROSHOLT

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point Pacelli girls basketball team used a dominating second half to turn a close game into a rout as the Cardinals defeated Rosholt 53-18 in a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division game Saturday afternoon at Pacelli High School.


Pacelli led 23-15 at halftime before outscoring Rosholt 30-3 in the second half to win going away.


The Cardinals are now 11-8 overall and 8-1 in the CWC South, while Rosholt falls to 4-13 and 3-7 in the conference.


Kaylin Yenter had 16 points, Anna Van Order added 11, and Amelia Jacoby scored 10 for Pacelli.


Sarah Trzinski had six points to top Rosholt.


Pacelli hosts Pittsville and Rosholt will play at Wild Rose in CWC South games Tuesday.
