MOSINEE VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS MEDFORD IN CONFERENCE OPENER

MEDFORD – Mosinee opened Great Northern Conference play with a 3-0 sweep of Medford in volleyball action Thursday at Medford Area Senior High.

The Indians won 25-19, 25-17, 25-17, to improve to 10-1 overall. Medford is now 5-6.

Claire Selenske had nine kills and 12 digs, Abbi Martin and Jenna Placek each had eight kills, and Alexis Jonas had 29 assists to lead the way for Mosinee.

Jessica Maurer had seven kills and a team-high 20 digs, and Dannica Shupe had three blocks as well for the Indians.

Martha Miller had eight kills and Olivia Krug 13 digs for Medford.

Mosinee hosts Rhinelander for another GNC match on Tuesday.
