MOSINEE BOYS BASKETBALL EDGES NORTHLAND PINES

EAGLE RIVER – The Mosinee boys basketball team battled back from an early 10-point deficit to defeat Northland Pines 59-56 in a battle of undefeated teams in the Great Northern Conference.


Mosinee made eight 3-pointers, four in the second half, as it outscored Northland Pines 32-23 in the second half to erase a six-point halftime deficit to pull out the victory.


The Indians are now 15-1 overall and 7-0 in the GNC, while Northland Pines falls to 10-3 and 4-1 in the conference.


Davin Stoffel scored 17 points and Kyle Miller added 10 for Mosinee.


Mosinee hosts Tomahawk for a conference game on Friday.
