MOSINEE BASEBALL POUNDS NORTHLAND PINES IN BOTH ENDS OF DOUBLEHEADER

EAGLE RIVER – The Mosinee baseball team blasted Northland Pines in both ends of a doubleheader, rolling to victories of 16-0 and 19-6 on Saturday at Northland Pines High School.
Taylor Lemanski had two doubles and five RBI, Davin Stoffel had a triple and a home run, and Keagen Jirschele, Gavin Obremski, and Tanner Unertl each drove in a pair of runs in the Game 1 win for Mosinee.
Obremski and Bryant combined on a four-hit, five-inning shutout for the Indians.
In Game 2, Mosinee scored six times in the second inning to take control and put the game away with a 10-run fourth inning.
Unertl had a home run and two RBI, Jirschele had a double and three RBI, and Stoffel and Eli Miland also knocked in two runs each for Mosinee.
Stoffel grabbed the win, allowing two runs in three innings.
Mosinee is now 10-2 overall and 6-1 in the Great Northern Conference. Northland Pines falls to 5-5 and 2-3 in the conference.
Mosinee hosts Merrill in a nonconference game Monday at 5 p.m.
