MOSINEE – The Mosinee baseball team improved to 22-2 this season with a 12-2 rout of Waupaca in a nonconference game Tuesday at Mosinee High School.
Tanner Unertl was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI, Davin Stoffel was 3-for-4 with two RBI and scored three times, and Trenton Dorn added two hits and drove in three runs for Mosinee.
Trevor Garski picked up the win for Mosinee, allowing one run in three innings of relief.
Mosinee hosts Amherst in its regular-season finale Thursday. Mosinee, the No. 1 seed in its half of the Division 2 Sectional 1 bracket, will host the winner of Thursday’s game between Rhinelander and Merrill on Tuesday, May 31, in a WIAA regional semifinal.
