MONDOVI – Mondovi quarterback Jarod Falkner accounted for more than 300 yards of offense and five of the Buffaloes’ seven touchdowns in a 48-0 shutout of Neillsville/Granton in Cloverbelt Conference football action Friday night at Mondovi High School.

Falkner had rushing touchdowns of 23 and 8 yards, and touchdown passes of 47, 26, and 8 yards – all in the first half – as Mondovi built a 40-0 lead by the intermission.

Falkner finished 15-for-17 passing for 226 yards and ran for another 89 on eight carries as Mondovi (4-2, 3-1 Cloverbelt Conference) racked up 450 yards of offense.

Neillsville/Granton was held to just one positive yard of offense as they finished with minus-30 rushing yards. Quarterback Bryce Erickson was harassed throughout, as a number of sacks amounted to minus-28 yards in the rushing column. He finished 5-for-10 passing, but for just 19 yards.

Neillsville/Granton (1-4, 1-3 Cloverbelt Conference) hosts Stanley-Boyd on Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
