LOYAL GIRLS BASKETBALL BEATS GREENWOOD FOR FIRST WIN OF SEASON

LOYAL – Alyssia Zvolena scored 15 points to lead the Loyal girls basketball team to its first win of the season as the Greyhounds downed Greenwood 51-37 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Thursday at Loyal High School.


Abrial Kubista added 11 points for the Greyhounds, who are now 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the Cloverbelt East.


Mesa Rasmussen scored eight points, and Kia Abel and Avry Wuethrich each chipped in seven for Greenwood, which falls to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.


Greenwood hosts Neillsville on Tuesday, while Loyal won’t be back in action until Friday, Dec. 10 when it hosts Colby.
