IOLA – Madeline Much scored 18 points to lift the Iola-Scandinavia girls basketball team to a 52-29 victory over Pittsville in a nonconference game Tuesday at Iola-Scandinavia High School.
The Thunderbirds doubled up Pittsville by halftime as they pulled out a 38-19 lead.
Iola-Scandinavia held Pittsville to just 10 points in the second half to finish off the win.
Makayla Much added nine points and Marin Hoyord had eight for the Thunderbirds (2-1).
Iola-Scandinavia returns to action on Thursday at home against Manawa for another nonconference game.
Pittsville will open its Central Wisconsin Conference South Division season at Rosholt on Friday.
