IOLA-SCANDINAVIA GIRLS BASKETBALL DEFEATS PACELLI AT SENTRY CLASSIC

STEVENS POINT – Iola-Scandinavia made just five field goals, but were 15-for-27 at the free throw line and were able to pull out a 26-18 victory over Stevens Point Pacelli in a girls basketball game at the Sentry Classic on Tuesday afternoon at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.


Jaelyn Sivertson was a perfect 7-for-7 at the line and scored a game-high 13 points for the Thunderbirds, who beat Pacelli for the second time in a week and improves to 8-2 this season.


Amelia Jacoby had eight points for Pacelli, which falls to 6-2.


Both teams will play Thursday at the tournament. Pacelli plays Crandon on noon and Iola-Scandinavia takes on Amherst at 1:45 p.m.
