CORNELL – Kia Abel had 31 points and Mesa Rasmussen added 15 as the Greenwood girls basketball team defeated Cornell 54-47 in a nonconference matchup Monday at Cornell High School.


The Indians improve to 2-6 with their second-straight win. Cornell is now 1-8.


Greenwood hosts Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at 7:15 p.m. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
