GREENWOOD GETS PLAYOFF ROAD UPSET AT FLAMBEAU
SPORTSDESK - Greenwood traveled 75 miles north to Flambeau on Tuesday night to begin the 2020 WIAA girls basketball playoffs. When you have a three hour round trip bus ride, things are always more fun coming home with a win. The 10 seed Indians did just that, upsetting the seven seed Flambeau Falcons, 66-57.
Greenwood will ride the bus on Friday night, to the tune of 101 miles, and take on the two seed Prairie Farm Panthers with tip scheduled for 7pm. A Greenwood win paired with a Loyal Friday night win (vs Eau Claire Immanual Lutheran) would make for a Saturday regional final in Loyal. All in Clark County likely Greyhound and Indians fans at the same time, as playoffs can make for strange bedfellows.
Amanda Bogdonovich had 22 points for Greenwood. Full statistics were not provided.
