GREENWOOD – The Greenwood boys basketball team used a dominating first half to push past Gilman 54-37, earning its first Cloverbelt Conference East Division victory on Thursday at Greenwood High School.
Greenwood (4-9, 1-6 Cloverbelt East) jumped out to a 30-9 lead by halftime as it limited Gilman (0-11, 0-7 Cloverbelt East) to just three baskets from the field.
Mason Learman had 16 points, Ryver Glynn added 14, and Xander Hinker scored 13 for Greenwood.
Greenwood will have a week off before hosting Loyal for a conference game on Friday, Jan. 21. The game will be live at zaleskisports.com.
