FIVE PLAYERS HAVE MULTIPLE HITS AS MOSINEE SOFTBALL DEFEATS TOMAHAWK

MOSINEE – The Mosinee softball team scored seven runs in the first three innings and rode the arm of Adeline Strejc to the rest of the way to lead the Indians to an 8-2 win over Tomahawk in a Great Northern Conference matchup Tuesday at Mosinee High School.
The Indians scored three times in the bottom of the first inning and added four more in the third to cruise to the victory.
Strejc gave up single tallies in the second and third innings in her complete-game effort. She finished with seven strikeouts and just one walk, while scattering nine hits. She also was 2-for-4 with two RBI at the plate.
Mikah Keller, Hailey Shnowske, Maria Valls Raya and Maggie Woller all had two hits each for Mosinee (8-2, 6-2 GNC).
Mosinee plays at Lakeland on Thursday.
