DUELLMAN'S HAT TRICK PUSHES ASSUMPTION GIRLS SOCCER PAST AMHERST

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Kendall Duellman had a hat trick and Morgan Reichl saves seven of eight shots in goal to lead the Assumption girls soccer team to a 3-1 win over Amherst in a Mid-Western Wisconsin Conference game Monday night at Washington Field.
Duellman scored twice in a 25-second span of the first half and finished off the hat trick with another goal early in the second half to help the Royals build a 3-0 lead.
Lili Barthel scored in the 58th minute for Amherst, but that was all the Falcons would get as they fall to 10-2 overall and 7-2 in the MWWC.
Assumption remains perfect this season at 13-0 overall and 8-0 in the conference. The Royals play at Eau Claire Regis/Chippewa Falls McDonell on Thursday at 5 p.m. Regis/McDonell (8-1) is one-half game behind Assumption in the conference standings.
