Iola-Scandinavia 49 vs Manawa 25
Lillian Fuhs scored 19 points and Jaelyn Sivertson recorded a double-double as the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds picked up the victory over Manawa in the Thunderdome. Spurred on by a 31 points second half, the Thunderbirds expanded an eight point advantage at the break to roll to the win in non-conference play. Fuhs shot 50% from the field (6-12) to lead the way while Sivertson had 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 steals.
DECEMBER 3
Amherst 65 vs Weyauwega-Fremont 28
The Amherst Falcons led wire to wire on the road to pick up their second consecutive win, taking down the Warhawks with ease to close the week. As a team, the Falcons shot 43% in the contest while outrebounding Weyauwega-Fremont 36-21 and forcing 41 turnovers. Sydney Lehman again had a strong game offensively, scoring 23 points on 10-18 shooting from the field. Madison Hansen led the way for Weyauwega-Fremont with 11 points, nine of which came from the foul line.

Shiocton 84 vs Manawa 61
Four players scored in double figures and Shiocton roared to victory with a 48 point second half on the road to take down the Manawa Wolves. Dawson Schmidt led all scorers in the game with 25 while being joined in double figures by Jacob Klitzke (20), Cade Stingle (15), and Evan Putzer (13). Manawa was led by Connor Scheid with 17 points while Tanner Nienhaus dropped in 15 of his own.
Amherst 48 vs Port Edwards 41
Nathan Gibbs had 25 points on the night for Port Edwards but it wasn’t enough as the Amherst Falcons went on the road and took down the Blackhawks. Tyler Soulsby was the catalyst for the Falcons, scoring 20 points shooting 8-13 from the field. Aidan Jastromski was behind with 11 as the Falcons continued a strong start on the road to start 2021-2022.
Weyauwega-Fremont 58 vs Pacelli 50
Jaydon Awe scored 20 points and pulled down 18 rebounds his Cardinals debut but it wasn’t enough as Weyauwega-Fremont held home court with an eight point win. Pacelli got 12 points from Nick Fox and 11 from Logan Mayer but 30 Cardinals turnovers spurred Weyauwega-Fremont to a non-conference victory.

Iola-Scandinavia 56 vs Almond-Bancroft 39
Parker Prahl started his senior season off with a 21 point night as Iola-Scandinavia picked up the home victory against one of the most consistent teams of the past decade in Almond-Bancroft. Brock Wester (12) and Isaiah Hoyord (11) also scored in double figures for the Thunderbirds while Elijah Applebee was the top scorer for the Eagles, scoring 15.
Pulaski 69 vs Wittenberg-Birnamwood 57
Brady Wortruba (27) and Derek Shaw (23) combined for 50 points as Pulaski outlasted Wittenberg-Birnamwood in a non-conference clash. Simon Schairer led the Chargers with 19 points and Max Fraaza joined in with 15 as Wittenberg-Birnamwood tried to come back from a seven point deficit at half but couldn’t quite get there as Pulaski pulled back away late.

Coleman 63 vs Shiocton 58
Dawson Schmidt scored 35 points for the Shiocton Chiefs, who took a four point lead into the half, but a furious rally in the second half led Coleman to a victory over the weekend. Noah Nosgovitz led the way for Coleman with 17 points, one of four players who scored in double figures. Jacob Klitzke was the only other Chief to score more than ten points for Shiocton.
Bonduel 51 vs Sturgeon Bay 44
Noah Weier scored 17 points and Jon Sell chipped in 16 for the Bonduel Bears as they took down Sturgeon Bay on Saturday. A twelve point halftime lead quickly became a fight to hang on as the Bears withstood dual 17-point efforts from Isaak Aune and Preston Newton.
