GRANTON – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic girls basketball team ended a five-game losing skid with a 65-16 win over Granton in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday at Granton High School.


Jenna Kibbel had 24 points, Courtney Sommer added 14, and Sam Casperson had 11 for the Dons, who are now 8-8 overall and 6-5 in the Cloverbelt East.


Alexis Pongratz and Megan Walder both scored six points for Granton (0-10, 0-8 Cloverbelt East).


Columbus Catholic plays a nonconference game as part of a girls-boys doubleheader on Saturday at Chippewa Falls McDonell. The girls game starts at 3 p.m. with the boys to follow.
