COLUMBUS CATHOLIC BOYS BASKETBALL DOMINATES SECOND HALF TO BEAT PACELLI

MARSHFIELD – Eden Jacobson poured in 28 points and Columbus Catholic drilled eight 3-pointers as it defeated Stevens Point Pacelli 78-62 in a nonconference boys basketball game Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.


Grant Olson added 15 points, Emmitt Konieczny had 11, and Sam Wilczek scored 10 for the Dons, who improve to 2-0 this season.


Pacelli (1-2) led 33-32 at halftime before Columbus Catholic took control in the second half and pulled away to the double-digit win.


Weston Peplinski had 25 points and Charlie Kulick added 18 for the Cardinals.


Pacelli plays at home against Tri-County on Friday at 7:15 p.m., and Columbus Catholic returns to action Saturday with a home Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup against Colby at 3 p.m. Both games will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com/live-sports.
