COLBY SLIPS PAST AUBURNDALE IN D-4 BOYS BASKETBALL REGIONAL SEMIFINAL

AUBURNDALE – The No. 5 seed Colby boys basketball team outlasted No. 4 Auburndale to win a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal 60-57 on Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Colby (17-7) moves on to a D-4 regional final at No. 1 seed Iola-Scandinavia (25-0) on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com.
Auburndale led 31-20 at halftime but wasn't able to hold on as Colby put up 40 points in the second half to pull out the victory.
Richard Streveler had 21 points and seven rebounds, and Mateo Lopez added 13 points for Colby.
Auburndale ends its season with a 17-9 record after winning 16 of its final 19 games.
