COLBY BASKETBALL SURGES PAST OWEN-WITHEE

OWEN – The Colby boys basketball team outscored Owen-Withee by 21 points in the second half to erase a halftime deficit and roll to an 82-64 win in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Friday at Owen-Withee High School.


Owen-Withee led 36-33 at halftime before the Hornets stormed back, putting up 49 points in the second half to grab the road victory. Colby is now 9-3 overall and 6-2 in the Cloverbelt East, while Owen-Withee falls to 6-9 and 4-5 in conference play.


Richard Streveler had 25 points, Tevin Rue added 16, Brody Decker chipped in 14 and Caden Healy had 13 for Colby.


Colby will have a rematch with Columbus Catholic in Marshfield on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. The game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com. The Dons won at Colby this past Tuesday 84-72.
