AUBURNDALE, ABBY/COLBY EACH WIN TWO INDIVIDUAL TITLES AT AUBURNDALE WRESTLING INVITE

AUBURNDALE – Auburndale and Abbotsford/Colby each won a pair of individual titles at the Auburndale Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.


Noah Altmann won the 138-pound title with a pin of Easton Dammann of Pittsville in the championship match, and Sloan Welch improved to 9-0 this season for Auburndale with a pin in 4:28 over Julian Krizan of Cornell/Gilman/Lake Holcombe in the 182-pound championship match.

Adam Dorshorst added a third-place finish for the Eagles at 220 pounds.


Crandon won the team title with 374 points, with La Crosse Logan/Central second at 314.5. Abbotsford/Colby was fourth with 221.5 points, Pittsville ninth with 184, and Auburndale was 12th with 131.


Tanner Halopka took first at 145 pounds and Carter Grewe won the 195-pound championship match for Abbotsford/Colby.


Brayden Meyer (160) and Talon Severson (170) each finished third for the Falcons.
