WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Assumption girls soccer team kept its perfect record intact with a dominating 7-0 win over Eau Claire Regis/Chippewa Falls McDonell on Tuesday at Washington Field.
Sarah Shaw scored three goals in the first half, and the Royals added four more in the second to pad their lead and run their record to 6-0 this season.
Kendall Duellman, Clara Kubis, Addi Vollert and Izzy Jungwirth each scored for Assumption in the second half.
The Royals outshot Regis/McDonell 49-6, with Assumption goalie Morgan Reichl saving each of the six to earn the shutout win.
“It was an impressive team performance over a quality Regis/McDonell squad,” Assumption coach Jim Wendels said. “Our goalie was tested by a strong offensive threat in the first half and Morgan stepped up big.”
