WISCONSIN RAPIDS BASEBALL SWEEPS DOUBLEHEADER OVER ANTIGO

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids baseball team swept a doubleheader on Saturday, defeating Antigo 6-0 and 11-2 at Lincoln High School.


Eli Hahn threw a one-hit shutout in the opener, with Braden Lewis and Austin Junemann each collecting two hits. Ashton Potter had a two-run double, Carson Gunderson knocked in a run with a double, and Lewis also had an RBI in the victory.


Trevor Martin picked up his first varsity win in the second game, allowing one unearned run in three innings.


Caden Sengbusch, Zach Schaeffer and Jordan Tibbetts each had three hits, and Marcus Simonsen drove in three runs with two hits for Wisconsin Rapids (14-8).


Brennan Huber, Schaeffer, Jacob Van Ert and Maddox Gaetke all had RBIs in the victory for the Red Raiders.


Wisconsin Rapids hosts Stevens Point on Monday. Gametime is 5 p.m.
