WIAA GIRLS VOLLEYBALL PLAYOFF BRACKETS RELEASED

The complete brackets for the upcoming WIAA girls volleyball playoffs were released on Wednesday.
Play begins with regional quarterfinals in Divisions 2, 3 and 4 on Tuesday, Oct. 19. Regional semifinals in all four divisions will be played Thursday, Oct. 21, with regional finals on Oct. 23. Sectionals will be Thursday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 30, with the sectional champions qualifying for the 2021 WIAA State Girls Volleyball Tournament at Resch Center in Green Bay on Nov. 4-6.
In the Division 1 Sectional 1 bracket, Marshfield earned the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 14 Wausau East at Marshfield High School on Oct. 21 in a regional semifinal.
In other regional semifinals in the same bracket, No. 12 Wausau West will play at No. 5 D.C. Everest, No. 10 Stevens Point will be at No. 7 Hudson, and No. 11 Wisconsin Rapids will be at No. 6 Menomonie.
Mosinee earned a No. 1 seed in the top half of the Division 2 Sectional 2 bracket. Mosinee received a first-round bye and will play the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between No. 9 Northland Pines and No. 8 Medford in a regional semifinal on Oct. 21. In the same bracket, Merrill is the No. 3 seed and will host No. 14 Rhinelander in a regional quarterfinal Oct. 19.
A number of local teams are in the Division 3 Sectional 2 bracket.
In the top half, No. 5 Stratford will host No. 12 Colby, No. 3 Abbotsford will host No. 14 Necedah, No. 6 Auburndale will be at home against No. 11 Markesan, and No. 7 Neillsville will play at home against No. 10 Montello in regional quarterfinals on Oct. 19.
Marawood Conference South Division champion Marathon is the No. 1 seed and earned a first-round bye. The Raiders will play the winner of No. 9 Nekoosa and No. 8 Cadott on Oct. 21.
In the bottom half of the sectional, No. 6 Amherst will host No. 11 Crivitz and No. 12 Iola-Scandinavia will play at No. 5 Neenah St. Mary Catholic in regional quarterfinals on Oct. 19.
In the bottom half of the Division 4 Sectional 2 bracket, Cloverbelt Conference East Division champion Marshfield Columbus Catholic grabbed the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye. The Dons will play a regional semifinal at home on Oct. 21 against the winner of No. 9 Wisconsin Valley Lutheran and No. 8 Pittsville, who will play in a quarterfinal on Oct. 19.
Other regional quarterfinals in the bracket include No. 12 Rosholt at No. 5 Wausau Newman Catholic, No. 13 Northland Lutheran at No. 4 Stevens Point Pacelli, No. 14 Loyal at No. 3 Edgar, No. 11 Rib Lake at No. 6 Wisconsin Rapids Assumption, No. 10 Greenwood at No. 7 Port Edwards, and No. 15 Spencer at No. 2 Athens.
