WAUPACA PULLS AWAY TO DEFEAT MOSINEE SOCCER

MOSINEE – Waupaca scored four unanswered goals after Mosinee took an early lead and defeated the Indians 4-1 in a nonconference boys soccer game Tuesday at Edgewood Field.
Toren Holtz scored in the 18th minute on an assist from Ondrej Naprovnik to give Mosinee a quick 1-0 lead.
Bryce Bolt tied the game in the 27th minute, and about five minutes before halftime Hesslin Trzebiatowski put Waupaca (4-1) in front for good.
Trzebiatowski added another goal in the second half as the Comets pulled away.
Mosinee (4-3) returns to Great Northern Conference play with a game at Medford on Thursday at 7 p.m.
